This day of July 4th, 2011 I ventured with my family through through vast moorlands Britain where we encountered many creatures of untold origin and faced many obsicals, it seemed as if all of nature was determined to keep us from reaching the end of our journey. We hiked out to our destination not knowing what would become of us, we were in search of the great waterfall of Adacanyon, said to be ledgendary in the great book of Hisalt, which we found in the catacombs of Hert. This waterfall was said to grant great fortune and well being to anyone who who gazed upon it. We trekked accross the moors for a quarter of a mile where we stopped only to find a vast forest full of trecherous rocks and twisting trees. As we walked I was carefull to stay with my Mother for I was greatly fatigued and she was my anchor, the one thing that kept me from toppling over. As we made our way we saw many others who were relentless in their search for the great waterfall, but did not have the same determination that we did. Up we would climb, up and up, I was ready to stop and we had hardly begun our journey, my legs had tured to jelly and my chest felt as heavy as led, but my Mother would not give up and kept pulling me on ahead. We had to cross vast rivers, rushing at great speeds with rocks beneath so slippery they would but a frog to shame. I kept my footing and relentlessly pushed on, not afraid of the water nor the cold that was pressing in on my body like a thousand needles. I wanted to see that waterfall more than anything in the world. Those creatures spoken of earlier were very numerous and close inbetween as if they ran in a pack. Like giant wolves they were fierce and deadly, but with my fathers great war hammer he defeated them and kept his family safe from harm. We did come upon many misfortunes, Myself and my brother Jeffrey fell. The pain was unbareable, but my sister Jessica was well schooled in the uses of magic and healed our wounds to the best of her ability. We were almost to our destination when the youngest, Heidi, fell ill to a virus which struck here with enourmous abdominal cramps and we feared we would have to turn back, for Jessica's magic was not strong enough to heal such pain. Heidi was stronger than anyone I have ever seen, she fought through the pain and pressed forward, anxious to see the waterfall and behold its wonderful sight. Weary and spirits very low we reach the last leg of our journey, we needed to cross the river one last time , but we faced the fastest part of the river and most definately the coldest. All we had to hold on to was an ancient piece of rope that looked at breaking point. My father went first helping my two other sisters along the way. Myself and my brother came next as I stepped into the icy water pain shot up my leg and my feet were numb in seconds. With sheer will power I made it accross and there are no word to describe it, but magnificent. The cooling spray washed over us and I felt its power radiate through my body. Our time was running short, for Jessica needed to be at a council of the elders for a hearing of the utmost importance and could not be late, if she was she would be through into the pit of despair for ETERNITY! My two sister and father rushed on ahead of us while we hung back because of our great weariness. My brother would protect us from the beasts and we would not have to go as fast as the others. We had great fortune come upon us and were able to make it safely back home without the use any weapons or magic, I feel that the power of the water fall truely worked.
All right I didn't go on a great journey, but we did hike up Adam's Canyon and did see a huge waterfall. It was one of my favorite hikes that we have ever taken. There were no great beasts, but a lot of people with dogs. Jessica really isn't a wizard, but she did need to get home and go to a parade. It was an awesome hike and I would definately recomend it. Its all up hill there, but its all down back. The waterfall was supercool and close enough that you could go touch it. It was a BLAST!
